Departure for Antsirabe (3 hours drive) along the central part of Madagascar to the
South. In Antsirabe, transfer to the hotel. Lunch and then a city tour, visit a craft
shop exposing means of locomotion in miniature made from recycled cans, and
pieces of wood ….

Dinner, and overnight at Arotel.

Drive to Antoetra. Stop at Ambositra. Here are shops and craft workshops where you
can find all Zafimaniry arts, totems, and many other sculptures in rosewood, and
ebony, … Arriving at Antoetra, check-in. Afternoon walk to the village of Ifasina. This
is a typical village among the others where you can learn more about the Zafimaniry
people and their cultures. Dinner and overnight at Stopover gite Papavelo.

In the morning, start driving through the beautiful landscapes of the Betsileo region.
Then come towards the rainforest of Ranomafana. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel.
By the evening, night walk to spot some nocturnal animals for about 1h30 with a
local guide who specializes in finding them. Dinner and overnight at Centrest hotel.

Full day to explore Ranomafana national park, hiking in the park again with our local
guide to see some species of diurnal lemurs, reptiles, birds, and various plants. At
midday, back to the hotel for lunch. Late afternoon, back to the forest again in search
of other species and go on for another night walk. Dinner and overnight at Centrest
hotel.

Full day drive to Andringitra. Passing through the town of Fianarantsoa for a glimpse
at the historical old city. Stop at Ambalavao to discover the origin of Antemoro paper
which was introduced centuries ago by the Arab immigrants who settled in the
southeastern part of Madagascar. Can buy some souvenirs. Then continue on a dusty
road for about 2 and half hours until Andringitra. Arriving late afternoon, check-in at
Trano Gasy hotel (camping). Dinner and overnight.

Here we are in the mountains of the second-highest top of Madagascar. Hiking and
exploring the Andringitra national park mostly “Diavolana” with its lunar landscape
called “alien”. Then arrive at a sacred waterfall. The walk takes approximately 6
hours. Picnic lunch. Dinner and overnight camping inside the park.

5-hour drive to Ranohira. En route, we pass by Ihosy and then Horombe Plateau
stretching out of sight. It is the largest plateau of the island and home to a herd of Zebu of the Bara. Arrived in Ranohira at the end of the afternoon. Evening free.
Dinner and overnight at Le Jardin du Roy hotel.

Two days to discover Isalo national park. Isalo is composed of sandstone massif and
various natural pools and waterfalls, forest with lemur species such as Maki, and Sifaka fulvus. Picnic lunch in the park for those two days. After each visit, drive back
to the village. Once, we will drive to the window of Isalo which is located 12 km in the western part of the park for a beautiful sunset. Dinner and overnight at Le Jardin du Roy hotel.

Drive about 4 hours to Tulear. After a few minutes, pass through the town of Ilakaka
the Wild West of Madagascar (the city of sapphire). Then cross the forest of Zombitse
and farther some baobabs. Arriving at Tulear, you’ll have a boat transfer for 1h30
until Anakao. Dinner and overnight at Anakao Ocean Lodge & Spa hotel .

Day at leisure. Optional activities are available. Dinner and overnight at Anakao Ocean Lodge & Spa hotel .

Return to Tulear then transfer to the airport. Flight to Antananarivo. Meet and transfer to Relais des Plateaux hotel on arrival in Antananarivo. Dinner and overnight.

City tour including the visit of Ambohimanga Rova North of the city. City center, traditional market, and local/craft market before transfer to the airport for international flights. Day use at Relais des Plateaux hotel.
